What started as a doodle turned into a campaign to raise awareness about the issues facing frogs. Hubert’s struggles throughout the story highlight real world problems that are causing frog species to go extinct. Although Hubert finds a happy ending in this story, the book makes sure to emphasize that these are ongoing issues that need to be addressed and provides steps that readers can take to help.
